Am watching The Shawshank Redemption on FilmFour for probably the 30th time. God, I love Frank Darabont. Can you believe this was nearly made with Tom Cruise and Robert Redford as Andy and Red? It's almost blasphemy. It's one of the few adaptations that I prefer to the novella (which am currently re-reading) possibly the only. I would have been fucked if I was Red though, I can never remember the name of that town! Also the following scene is going to be hard to take seriously ever again because of Family Guy:
